Online dating chat is one of the most widespread ways of communication that are provided by dating services. It is really advantageous for service providers, but in many cases not for users.
As for users/members online dating chat has more disadvantages than advantages. First of all it’s about restrictions. When two people chat they can send and receive messages only provided they are both online at the same time. And if one is off-line communication is not possible. It’s really inconvenient because it can take hours and even days of waiting till the other person is online again. Besides at the beginning it could be difficult to figure out what time is the most convenient for both of them to start a chat.
There is one more restriction that occurs at some online dating sites. It refers mainly to chargeable services. So, let’s get closer to the point. In chats users are not allowed to exchange any type of personal information including phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc. Can you imagine that you finally have found your perfect match, but you are just not able to get your relationships on the next level just because of chat moderators? Sometimes the level of moderation is so high that two people can’t even arrange a meeting at some neutral place.
